Easter Cupcakes
These cute sheep were in a parenting magazine, so I thought I would pass along the idea for a cute Easter treat. Happy eating!

Mya bears her testimony
Mya shared her testimony with the ward for the first time today (3/29/09). She was excited for me to record it, so she could also share it with the rest of the family. She did such an excellent job. Way to go Mya!
Hopefully Ana's will be shared sometime soon. After Mya stepped down from the podium, Ana shouted, "My turn!" and then proceeded to go to the stand a few times throughout the meeting.

The past week
Most of the house is now packed, and we had two successful garage sales the past week. We said goodbye to my favorite couch, so we would have more room in the moving truck....

and now we are watching t.v. on the huge stuffed horse while laying on the floor...

While I was tending to all of the pricing questions at last Saturday's garage sale, Brian was scheming a trade with our neighbor. He (and yes, after a few hours of quietly crying on the inside I gave him my approval) traded our jet ski for a 4 month old miniature schnauzer puppy.

Some of you know that it has barely been a month since we gave Lola and Sheba to the animal shelter so they could be adopted. They kept jumping over our 6 ft fence, even when the electric fence was on, and were picked up by animal control. We could either pay the $150 in fines to get them back, or pay to get them adopted at the shelter. Since we were already trying to give them away because we figured we would most likely move to a small apartment for 4 years, there wasn't much thought in our decision. I knew that we would have to get another dog at some point because it makes Brian so happy to have one, but I was hoping to last at least 6 months to a year without one. WE DIDN'T EVEN LAST 2 MONTHS! I guess you could say that I couldn't say no to those puppy dog eyes--- and I don't mean the dog's!

I will agree that the puppy looks just like Toby which makes me automatically have a little love for him (remember I am not an animal person anyway), and I think he is really cute--but it is pretty hard not to trip over this little creature who follows me everywhere I go during the day, especially when I am moving boxes in and out of rooms. I think he stays by me, because he thinks I will keep him safe from Mya--mostly. When Brian gets home he gives everyone a hello hug and kiss and then spends the rest of the night cuddling with the dog. I suppose that is still better than all night with World of Warcraft!

The puppy's official name is Walter Wayman, because I thought it sounded funny. Since Ana loves the movie Wall-e and says it so cutely, we decided that Wall-e would be what we call him! (I vetoed Brian's name of Grayskull.) I try my best to remember his name, but my brain still wants to shout Toby--whenever I call him. He shouldn't get that much bigger, he does not shed, and is pretty quiet. Brian wishes he had a purse to carry Wall-e in, but I tell him that I absolutely hate it when people bring their pets into stores (other than real service dogs) unless it is Petsmart, so that is a NO WAY!

After the garage sale, the boys played with us, while Jes moved out.

So- this won't mean much to anyone else, but Mom, here is the photo of Ana wearing the green sweater dress. About 30 years old, and still in excellent condition :) and she had to wear her Dorothy shoes.

Having Fun
Most of you know that Rachel and Adrienne came in town over a month ago, and our fun was all captured on my SD Card that I have to pay $40 to get recovered. So, in the mean time here are a few pics that I found, because I don't want to forget the laughs we had! Miss you both.

Skiing (Janna) and Snowboarding (Brian, Adrienne, Rachel) at Wolf Mountain in a blizzard.

My Playlist
My Playlist is not necessarily my favorite songs-- but rather, songs that I am regularly dancing to. Anytime I hear a song that moves me--I have to dance to it!
Right now I am choreographing "Every Day" by Rascal Flatts. I absolutely love it, because it reminds me of how lucky I am to have Brian. He truly "saves me" all of the time without even knowing it.

I am so grateful to be blessed with such a loving, caring, intriguing, persistent, motivated, talented, fun, handsome and dedicated husband. I love you Brian! Thank you for all that you do. (and thanks for taking me dancing so much lately :))
"Every Day"
You could've bowed out gracefully
But you didn't
You knew enough to know to leave well enough alone
But you wouldn't
I drive myself crazy tryin' to stay out of my own way
The messes that I made but my secrets are so safe
The only one who gets me, yeah, you get me
It's amazin' to me
How every day
Every day, every day
You save my life
I come around all broken down and crowded out
And you're a comfort
Sometimes the place I go is so deep and dark and desperate
I don't know, I don't know
How every day
Every day, every day
You save my life
Sometimes I swear, I don't know if I'm comin' or goin'
But you always say something without even knowin'
That I'm hangin' onto your words with all of my might
And it's alright, yeah, I'm alright for one more night
Every day
Every day, every day, every day
Every day, every day
Every day, every day, every day
You save me, you save me
Every day, every
every, every day
Every day you save my life

My favorite sayings...
Mya has decided that she wants to have the same exact conversations with me almost every day. They go something like this...
"Mommy are you going fast?"
"Nope. Just going the speed limit."
"Because Heavenly Father only wants you to go fast on the freeway?"
"Yep, that's right."
_______________________________________
"Sweet!" I assume she picked this up at school, I because I haven't heard anyone use this for years.
_______________________________________
when Mya is getting a warning for something she is doing.."but Mom I am just a kid. I am still learning. (and then when I just stare at her, and she knows that her excuse didn't work..) "it was an accident!"
_______________________________________
when Ana is getting into something she shouldn't be--like GUM, Mya says "Mom, Ana can't have it because she is not a big kid. I am a big kid so I can have it." and then I remind her that they are both grounded from gum because they don't keep it in their mouth, and she says "Oh yeah, I remember" as she touches her bald spot.
_______________________________________
These are my favorite Ana sayings:
"Aww Mannnnn", "I do it myself!", "I wanna hold you", "Can I please have some keenitbutter (peanut butter) Mommy?", "I don't like it", "Thank you"-which I will add, that she uses this constantly which makes me smile that she is so polite.
_______________________________________
Sometimes at meals whoever finishes first holds both arms up and announces "I'm the winner!". Ana likes to say this whenever she feels like it. Like when she is in the car, or in her stroller, or whenever. It makes me laugh.
_______________________________________
When she first wakes up she usually smiles really big, gives me a hug and says, "I wanna watch t.b." (since I am spending my days packing- she has become addicted to her Elmo Potty video, which I wouldn't mind if she actually wanted to start using the potty again!)

In case you were wondering...
I have been on strike from adding to my blog lately. I am really sad because the SD card that I have been using for months (without backing it up) is giving me an error, and I think I lost everything! In the mean time, check out the "Congrats Brian" section, because I will at least keep that up to date. :(

Baby Photos!!
Texas is calling me...
and it's reminding me that I could be tanning today!!!!
I know that the girls love the snow, (Ana always walks as S-L-O-W as she can from the car to the house just to feel it on her face and Mya has to march knee deep in the largest piles even when a sidewalk is completely cleared) but as I was stuck at the mall today in the storm, with my car hood open, banging on the starter, I imagined for just a second that I was actually enjoying a warm day in Texas. It also crossed my mind that if we end up in Texas both Ana and Mya will probably not even remember the snow in a few years...but I'm willing to live with that!
