The Pledge of Allegiance

I totally forgot to add this to my 4th of July blog-- so here you go!

Everyday when I'd pick up Mya from school I would ask her 3 things: what she learned, what her favorite part of the day was, and what she ate for lunch. She would always answer, "I can't remember" to the first two questions. You can imagine my astonishment when all of the sudden, while playing with a flag at Grandma Terri's, she started reciting the pledge of allegiance. I suppose it was muscle memory-- wave a flag and recite the pledge, but we were all very impressed. I guess she did learn something!!!

Granny Elise Visits!

We are very glad that Grandma Elise came to visit! Thank you for having fun with us. We miss you and love you lots!

Cherry Hill Waterpark

Last Saturday we took Brian's cousin Brandon, who was in town, to the small family waterpark. It was sooooo much fun! This is the Dragon waterslide that we went on the most. Since Mya is swimming well, and she begged a little, we let her go down by herself after a few times. Since she was so light, the water always spun her around and she'd go down backwards. I thought she would have been scared, especially in the tunnels, but she said it was lots of fun.

After we'd climb the stairs and get to the top, Ana would always say that she didn't want to go again. Then, I'd pull her onto my lap, she'd cover her face from splashes, and once we were at the bottom she'd shout, "Again! That was fun!".

This was just a tiny slide in the kiddyland area. After this ride, Ana was sure to turn around and go down on her tummy the rest of the time. Whoopsie!

The lazy river wa really nice. Mya opted to swim alongside, while we rode in the tubes.
Arghhh Matey! (or if you are Paige: Hoya!)

Mya loves playing with all of her one hundred cousins. Brandon really played well with her (which I appreciate) and she absolutely adores him.

Temple Square

In a couple days our family is getting professional photos taken at the Salt Lake Temple. In the meantime, here are some photos that I took while we were playing downtown for the last time!

Playtime!

We love you Mya and Ana!

Mya chose these teeth as one of her prizes at Nickelcade. She absoultely loves wearing them.

Hill Air Force Museum

I took the girls to the museum on Hill Air Force Base.
It was really interesting to see all of the planes, bomb replicas, uniforms, memorial plaques and guns. Many of the earlier planes looked really scary to fly and fight in. I'm pretty sure I couldn't have handled that. I am really grateful for all of the courageous service men and women who have given so much for our country, and I thank them for their sacrifice.

House For Sale!

I just thought I would post a few photos so you can see how nice the house looks these days. It's too bad we did most of the updates right before we are leaving!

Brian recently finished the basement. For those of you who remember the wood everywhere, it has been replaced with fresh new everything! You did a super job Love!

And here is Jes' old room. Unfortunately it wasn't this nice while she was here.
So who is ready to make an offer? :)

Weekend Fun with the Wayman Clan

These pix are sort of out of order, but we had a very busy Independence Day weekend with Brian's uncle and family in town. We had lots of fun and are glad that they came!Happy Independence Day! We went to the Clearfield City parade for about 20 minutes, at which point we decided we had enough candy-- and then went to the sand dunes.
This is part of the "Little Sahara" sand dunes in West Utah. Those little black things are dune buggies.

I am sure it was pretty boring for the kids, so they found things to do.
For all of you who think I am really taking my child on the dunes like this-- you must not know me. We just drove Ana in a circle around the campsite for 30 seconds-- and she LOVED it!
At the bowling alley with the Wayman clan. After bowling, a dance party arose.
